Legal Aid Foundation of Santa Barbara County is a nonprofit law firm that provides free legal assistance to residents of Santa Barbara County. Our mission is to provide high-quality civil justice services to low-income residents and other vulnerable residents to ensure equal access to justice. We change lives through direct representation, legal advice and information, and community building. Our vision is a community where low-income people and other vulnerable residents can thrive and where all residents have meaningful access to the civil justice system.
Since 1959, Legal Aid has been providing legal services to the most disadvantaged in our community. Our services include the provision of legal advice, assistance in the preparation of legal documents and representation in legal proceedings. Volunteer legal expertise not only helps society, but can also help you expand your knowledge, give back to the community, and get a free MCLE. Our legal system is complex for everyone.
